We offer a comprehensive range of Women’s Health services including oral contraception, implantable contraceptive devices, menopause management, cervical screening and general gynaecological issues.
Antenatal Care
As part of the Maternity and Infant Care Scheme we provide antenatal care to include 2 and 6 week checks
Paediatrics
As well as general paediatric consultations we provide baby and child immunisations, centile measurement to monitor growth , and Asthma reviews under the 'Cycle of Care' programme.
Health Checks & Screening
We encourage our patients to book an appointment to discuss health concerns relating to themselves or their family history. We advise against regular commercial screening and are happy to discuss personalised screening considering your individual risk factors & family history.
Out of hours
Out-of-hours care is provided by North East Doctor on Call, a co-operative all of the doctors in our practice work with. Should you require their services an appointment can be arranged by calling:

Psychology
Dr Mairead Smyth is a Senior chartered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland. Mairead has 14 years of experience working with individuals, families, couples and organisations and has worked with groups and organisations designing and facilitating talks and interactive workshops.
Mairead is an honorary lecturer on both the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology programme in Trinity College Dublin and in the University of Limerick and provides clinical supervision for qualified or trainee psychologists and psychotherapists. Mairead is an active member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Mairead provides psychological assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment interventions for a range of mental health and neuropsychological issues such as but not limited to; stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, work issues, loss and bereavement, trauma, self-harm, gender and sexuality, abuse, low self-esteem, assertiveness, personal development, work related difficulties.
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist Mairead offers psychological intervention for neuropsychological disorders such as MS, stroke, dementia, brain injuries and brain tumours to help those affected cognitively, emotionally and psychologically.
Mairead has a special interest in perinatal mental health. Perinatal mental health focuses on the prevention, identification and treatment of difficulties which can negatively affect the mother during the antenatal, birth experience and postnatal period.
